About Us

How It all Started

The Pan African Club (PAC) is a youth and women-led organization founded in 2010 by young lawyers as an intellectual think tank and a non-partisan discussion forum. Created to empower young people and women, PAC addresses critical issues such as climate change, unemployment, human rights abuses, and sustainable development. Registered as a Non-Governmental Organization in Uganda in July 2012 (Reg. No. 151961), PAC leverages legal empowerment, critical thinking, indigenous agricultural practices, and informed debate to foster leadership among youth and women. PAC’s primary goals include advocating for gender-inclusive climate policies, promoting climate justice, conserving the environment, influencing policy, and ensuring adherence to environmental laws and good governance in Uganda.

Vision

PAC’s vision is empowered and transformed youth and women with knowledge and skills to promote their own well-being, climate justice and sustainable community development.

Mission

PAC’s mission is to work with young people, women and Pan Africanists to encourage positive creative thinking, youth legal empowerment for climate justice, creativity and innovations on which sustainable youth, women and community transformation and progress could be premised.
